1571 new corona cases have been registered in Germany. This is reported by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the German equivalent of the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM).
This means that the number of new cases is slightly higher than Thursday’s 1507.
Three people died in the past day, bringing the recorded death rate from the coronavirus to 9288.
The total number of infections since the outbreak started in March is 239,507.
The RKI expects that there will be a vaccine against the virus by the beginning of 2021. “As far as we can see now, the European Union approved one or more vaccines in early 2021.”
