WHO Team Spoke to the Doctor Who First Reported Coronavirus

Almost 137,000 corona infections have now been registered in Germany, an increase of over 3,700 in 24 hours.

The DPA news agency calculated this on Friday afternoon based on the latest data from the German federal states. At least 4020 patients have succumbed to the disease.

An estimated 81,800 people have survived the infection, according to Robert Koch-Institut, the German equivalent of the RIVM.

As in other countries, experts assume that many cases of infection have not been identified.

Bavaria is most affected by COVID-19 with more than 36,500 infected and 1,164 killed. North Rhine-Westphalia (808 deaths) and Baden-Württemberg (874) are other hot spots.
