Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny ends his hunger strike after three weeks.
He started doing this more than three weeks ago because he demanded a visit from a doctor of his choice due to health problems in prison.
Navalny expects it will take at least 24 days to end his hunger strike gradually, he says via Instagram. The 44-year-old politician thanked the people who have supported him in the past period.
The Navalny team warned late last week that the Kremlin critic could die at any time. His doctors urged him to stop his action because they feared Navalny would not survive.
