Okta’s Authentication Software May Have Been Hacked

Okta, a San Francisco start-up that creates authentication software that thousands of customers use to secure their platforms and applications, is investigating whether it has been hacked.


Amazon and Apple, among others, use Okta’s software.

Monday night (local time), a group of hackers known as LAPSUS$ posted images on Telegram showing Okta’s internal work environment.

Okta is now investigating whether the hackers were indeed able to penetrate the system.
