OECD Expects to Increase Global Economic Growth

Trump is Conducting Research into abolishing Quarterly Figures. The American president Donald Trump has the stock market watchdog SEC investigate the chances for companies to report results every six months instead of every quarter.

He stated this Friday via Twitter. According to the businessman, the possibility would give more flexibility and save money.

Stock exchange companies in the United States are still needed to report their outcomes every quarter.

But according to critics, this practice provides a focus on the short term.

Earlier, investor Warren Buffett and JPMorgan banker Jamie Dimon argued for quitting quarterly figures so that directors could focus on a broader horizon.

An update over three months would not give a good picture of how a company will operate in the future.
